Dartmoor Zoo Visit

We had a wonderful day at the zoo! The children enjoyed a fascinating “Close Encounters” session with Izzy, one of the keepers, who introduced them to a hissing cockroach and Mango, the blue‑tongued skink. They also investigated different types of animal teeth and explored how their shapes link to whether an animal is a carnivore, herbivore or omnivore. Throughout the day we saw an amazing range of animals including tarantulas, a cheetah, lynx, baby meerkats, zebras and many more. The children even had time to enjoy the play park, rounding off a fantastic day full of fun and learning. We are incredibly lucky to have had this experience. A special thank you to FOLs for helping to fund our tickets—your support made this trip possible!
